Company lends help to needy groups

KUCHING: Kaliman Timber Corporation Sdn Bhd (Kaliman Timber) recently contributed food assistance to needy families in Kampung Blimbin Krokong, Bau and Taman Sri Maya, Kuching.

The food assistance consisted of 200 bags of rice and it is to support the needy families.

Kaliman Timber in a statement said the assistance was to help and ease the burden of specific groups in the community.

“In conjunction with our 20th anniversary next year, we aim to help specific groups to ease their burden by providing food assistance.

“Among the target groups are the abandoned senior citizens, people with disabilities (OKU), families with average low income and single mothers,” the company added.

Through such efforts, the company hoped to raise the level of public awareness of the necessity to help the needy and hopefully this could encourage others to come forward and do the same, namely in helping the needy.
